Director of Finance

Applications for a Director of Finance position will be accepted now through June 1, 2018. This is a new, full-time salary position reporting to the Senior Pastor. The Director of Finance will work collaboratively with the congregation Treasurer and Finance Team to manage all financial aspects of the church, preschool, and day school as well as provide financial guidance to our teams and boards. This will include not only day to day financial operations but also regular government reporting, budget development, auditing and financial reviews, asset inventory management, and working with ministry leaders to ensure optimal stewardship of resources.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting at minimum along with a clear record as determined by a police background check. An ideal candidate would possess training and experience in fund accounting specifically as well as a proficiency in accounting software, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Access. The candidate must be a self-directed self-starter with strong administrative, communication, and project management skills with a heart focused on the ministry. Ideally, candidate will be a member in good standing of St. Peter’s or another LCMS congregation.

Executive Assistant to the Principal

Applications for an Executive Assistant to the Principal will be accepted now through June 11, 2018. This is a new, full-time salary position reporting to the principal. The Executive Assistant to the Principal will work collaboratively with the principal, faculty, and staff of the day school. The responsibilities will be for student recruitment, enrollment, and administrative duties.

The position prefers a 2/4 year degree and experience in marketing public relations. A clear record as determined by a police background check is required. An ideal candidate will possess excellent writing and communication skills. The candidate must be well organized and efficient with time and resources, able to maintain confidentiality on all matters, skillful at creating and maintaining relationships through good communication and follow through and be self-directed and a self-starter.
