Pastor Ahlersmeyer presently serves as senior pastor of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne.

Professional History

Pastor Ahlersmeyer holds a teaching degree from Concordia College, River Forest, Illinois and for three years he taught seventh grade at Trinity Lutheran School in Fort Wayne before enrolling at Concordia Theological Seminary.  His vicarage year was spent at Mount Olive Lutheran Church, Schofield, Wisconsin.  He graduated from the seminary with a Master of Divinity degree, and was ordained on March 12, 1989.  He has served as pastor of Faith Lutheran Church, Groton, Connecticut from 1989 to 1992 and a senior pastor of King of Kings Lutheran Church, Mason, Ohio from 1992 to 2000, before coming back to Fort Wayne.  In addition to parish duties, he has served on various boards and committees on both the circuit and district levels as well as involvement with community activities including Police and Fire chaplaincy.

Family

Pastor Ahlersmeyer married Kathryn Eggold on August 18, 1984.  Their marriage has been blessed with three children and four grandchildren:  Heidi (Andy) Fordice of St. Johns, Florida and their children Claire and Jack; Peter (Emily), who is a pastor serving Concordia Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne and their children Addison and Quinn; and Andy, who is a full-time student at Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana.
