Board of Directors

This is an elected position by the members of the congregation. The Board of Directors meets monthly to oversee, direct, and provide future planning to the entire St. Peter’s ministry. Leadership qualities are a must.

Board of Elders

This is an elected position by the members of the congregation. The Board of Elders has a three-fold purpose: to oversee the worship services, to provide spiritual care and oversight to the members of the congregation, and to provide spiritual care and oversight to the pastors and called staff of St. Peter’s. The Board of Elders meets monthly with the pastors.

Day School Board

This is an elected position. The Day School Board assists the school principal in the operations of the day school ministry. The board meets on a monthly basis and as situations arise.

Preschool Board

This is an elected position. The purpose of the Preschool Board is to oversee all aspects of the preschool ministries of St. Peter’s, including the overall vision, finances, curriculum, and personnel.

Family Life Ministry (FLM) Team

The FLM team encourages and supports a home-centered, church supported ministry in every area of St. Peter’s Church and School. This active group works to provide St. Peter’s families with resources, education and enrichment, designed to strengthen the family and encourage spiritual development in the home. Some of their projects include the annual Advent Workshop, the milestone ministry program, guest speakers on family/parenting, and providing family devotional materials to church/school families. 

Finance Team

The Finance Team analyzes the finances of the congregation and school to help distribute the financial resources in a way that best serves the overall ministry. This is an appointed committee by the congregational treasurer; the team meets once a month. Persons experienced in organizational finances are encouraged to consider joining this team.

Hospitality Team

The Hospitality Team works hard to create a warm and welcoming environment prior to worship for visitors and memebers alike. Their duties include scheduling and training greeters.

Nominations Team

This is an elected position. This team finds qualified candidates to fill both elected and appointed positions within the congregation. Members of this team must be willing to make phone calls and network with congregational members to seek interest in various areas of service within the church. This team meets once a month.

Parish Education Team

The Parish Education Team is responsible for all Biblical education programs. Their programs include HOPE Sessions (Tuesday Bible studiese), Vacation Bible School, small group ministry, Kids of the Kingdom, and toddler bags. This team also assists with some of the administrative tasks involved in the junior confirmation program. 

Properties Team

The Properties Team cares for and maintains the physical property and grounds of the church and school. Those with special skills in plumbing, electrical, painting, lawn care, etc. are encouraged to join this team. 

Social Ministry Team

This team serves people in need in our own congregation, our community, and our world. Activities include (but are not limited to): small home repairs for the elderly, meals for families in crisis, food baskets for needy families at Thanksgiving, Angel Tree project, and may include disaster relief teams. 

Technology Team

The Tech Team oversees the maintenance and operation of all technology related to the church and school. This includes oversight of computers, sound system, audio and video recordings, overhead projectors in worship services, and the phone system. Skills in technology are very helpful for participation on this team. 

Youth Ministry Team

The Youth Ministry Team assists the Youth Director in planning, promoting, implementing, and overseeing activities for junior high and high school age members. Monthly activities center around Bible study, fellowship, servant events, and recreation.
