The spelling bee is traditionally held in January. Students in grades 4-8 are eligible to participate. Some practice time is made available to participants during the school day in the weeks leading up to the competition. The winner of St. Peter's spelling bee continues on to the Allen County competition.

The geography bee is also traditionally held in January. Students in grades 5-8 are eligible to participate in this competition. All students answer a ten question quiz to determine eligibility for each grade. This bee information is typically distributed in early December. The winner goes on to complete a longer quiz which determines eligibility for the state competition.

The Music and Art Festival is held annually at Concordia Lutheran High School (CLHS) on the first Saturday in March. Lutheran schools in Fort Wayne and the surrounding areas participate. Children have an opportunity to perform musically and display their works of art. Musical performances are held in the morning and are judged. Artwork (selected by the art and/or classroom teacher) is displayed. The festival usually begins at 11 am and ends at 3 pm.

Our annual Christmas program, usually a musical offering, is held in mid-December during a Wednesday evening Advent service. Depending on the year, either grades K-4 or grades 5-8 will lead the service. Students practice for the program during the school day. Parents’ help is always welcome in making the costumes and providing the necessary props.

The grades that did not participate in the Christmas program put on a spring play each year, usually scheduled in March or April. Again this play rotates grades involved on a yearly basis. Just as in the Christmas program, volunteers are always needed to help with the set, props, and costumes.

The Vegetable and Flower Show, sponsored by the Fort Wayne Parks and Recreation Department, is held in August or September. Children purchase flower and vegetable seeds in the spring and grow them throughout the summer. In the fall, Fort Wayne Parks and Recreation provide judges for the show. Volunteers are needed to help set up, to work with the judges, and to provide supervision for the children.
