ATHLETIC AWARDS
After the last spring sport has ended, all 8th grade athletes are recognized for their participation in athletics during the past year at a ceremony. Each athlete is presented with a certificate that indicates the sport(s) he/she participated in during the year. In addition the ‘All-Sport’ award is given to those 8th graders who were in all the sports every year.
Held in May.

END OF THE YEAR AWARDS
On the last day of school each year we hold a special ceremony to recognize students for various honors. Those include: band, choir, Accelerated Reader accomplishments, Honor Roll, along with individual classroom honors for Kindergarten and first grade. Everyone is invited to this special awards ceremony and chapel service.
Held on the last day of school.

FIELD TRIPS
Each class has a variety of field trips during the school year. Volunteers are needed to supervise the class with the teacher. Many field trips are during the spring to end of the year. Please see your child’s teacher for a list of dates and destinations; most field trips are already scheduled before school starts. This is a great opportunity to spend quality time with your child and to get to know the students in your child’s class.
Please note:  Volunteer Background Checks are required for any adult volunteer.

FAMILY AND FRIENDS' DAY
We have Family & Friends’ Day in November, on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. We invite students to bring grandparents, aunts, uncles, or some other special adult with them. The guests are invited to chapel in the church sanctuary. After chapel, Family & Friends meet students in their classrooms. They then walk around the school, from classroom to classroom, with their students to view work and participate in activities.
Held on the day before Thanksgiving.

HONOR'S BREAKFAST
Sometime during April May we hold a special breakfast to honor those students in grades 5-8 who achieved Honor Roll or Honorable Mention during each of the first three quarters of the year. To attain Honor Roll status a student must have earned all A’s in math, English, spelling, literature, social studies, and science. They also must not have earned a failing grade in all other subjects. To attain Honorable Mention status a student must have earned no less than a B- in math, English, spelling, literature, social studies, and science nor have failed any other subject. Look for those invitations to come home with your student.
Held in April or May.

MEET YOUR TEACHER
Meet Your Teacher (for Kindergarten through 2nd grade) gives the students and parents an opportunity to individually come and see their classroom, bring supplies, meet their teacher, and learn details of the upcoming school year prior to the first day of school. These meetings are mandatory as we strive for a solid intraschool system of communication and solid "team" relationship focus, specifically between students, teachers, and parents.
Held during the week prior to school starting.

BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT
Back to School Night (for 3rd through 8th grade) gives parents an opportunity to come and see your child’s classroom(s) and hear a presentation from his/her teacher(s) detailing the upcoming school year. These meetings are mandatory as we strive for a solid intraschool system of communication and solid "team" relationship focus, specifically between students, teachers, and parents.
Held during the first full week of school in August.

WILDCAT NIGHT
While registration is now online, there are still many details about the upcoming school year that are best shared in person. On this night, parents and students have the opportunity to pick up information and seek resources for the upcoming school associated with our church and school. Our teachers, school nurse, athletic director, music director, PTL board, and more are all available on this night. On this same night there will be a general meeting, usually hosted by our principal. There will be an informational meeting on this night about confirmation class for incoming seventh and eigth grade students. New uniform orders are also made available for pick up. This night is mandatory for all families. This night is very beneficial to families and offers you a chance to meet and share fellowship with other St. Peter's families.
Held the Wednesday prior to the first day of school.

NEW FAMILY ORIENTATION
New families have questions and we have answers! We enjoy hosting this night for new families to learn the ins and outs of a school day here at St. Peter's. We simulate and walk through carline, lunch line, and many other daily routines we have here. This night is also very beneficial to families and offers you a chance to meet other new families and share fellowship.
Held the Monday prior to the first day of school.

SCHOOL PICTURES
Each fall, school pictures are taken, usually in September. Volunteers are needed to help with pictures and organizing the students.
Held in September.
