Introducing our New Fieldworker and His Family

Rick Crain is a first-year seminary student at CTSFW. He is a second career student at the seminary, and prior to attending seminary, he worked as a software engineer. Rick and his wife, Connie, have been married for 24 years and have 6 children – Ana (21), Rob (18), Andy (16), Jeremiah (13), Joshua (13) and Elijah (10). They moved from Bethel Park, PA (a suburb south of Pittsburgh, PA) where they were members of Peace Lutheran Church (McMurray, PA). At Peace, Rick served on the Board of Elders and as the Technology Director. He also served as the secretary for Pittsburgh Area Lutheran Ministries (PALM), a Recognized Service Organization of the LCMS whose mission is to facilitate cooperation among the LCMS congregations in the Pittsburgh region and outlying areas in supporting the mission work of the church. After nearly 16 years of prayerfully considering attending seminary, Rick and his family are very excited to begin this journey.
