  • Grief Support: From Mourning to Joy

    Tuesdays @ 4:00 pm

Enter through Door #5 - Turn right and then continue to the Large Conference Room

No matter the circumstances of the loss, the grief recovery process is a painful one that follows no predefined track or time limits. It is a process that at times threatens to consume us and to extinguish our hope. It is a journey that can leave us with unanswered questions and newfound challenges.

The world consoles us by stating that over time the grief will shrink, but how can that be possible?  Frankly, it isn’t. Grief is not something that shrinks; instead, over time we grow around that grief and learn to live again while carrying the pain we have experienced.

From Mourning to Joy is a facilitator led group that will examine expert advice on growing during times of grief. Unanswered questions will be embraced as we search the Scriptures for answers. Through our discussions, we will have the opportunity to share our pain and to support and encourage one another. You do not have to grieve alone. Let us help you carry that pain on your journey from mourning to joy.

Please contact Michelle Leahy if you are interested in being a part of this group.

  • Friends of Faith

This program provides one-on-one support for those who simply need someone to listen to them and truly be heard. Our Friends of Faith are trained on providing care through active listening and are supported by Pastor Nate.

Many of our Friends of Faith currently visit those who are homebound, hospitalized, or living in a care facility. All report great satisfaction and enrichment in their lives through this meaningful engagement.

If you would like to be partnered with a Friend of Faith to receive care, or if you would be interested in being trained as a Friend of Faith, contact Pastor Nate

  • College Adoptions

Once again St. Peter's is caring for the college students of the congregation whether they are attending school locally or out of town. Students register for the program and provide helpful information about themselves. You then have the opportunity to adopt a student. We ask that you send your student encouraging notes, occasional small gifts, and help us send care packages twice a year.

Three students still need adopted for this year's program. If you are interested, please contac the church office.
