Fall Planning

Greetings!

Dear friends, as we approach this fall, there are many things to be excited about here at St. Peter's Lutheran Church and School. Our children have returned to their studies, and preparation for the upcoming holidays will begin soon.

You may not know this, but your Ministry Staff utilizes every summer to plan for the next nine months. We put our heads together and think about our services, Bible studies, Hope Sessions, and how we’re going to communicate these things to you, our congregation.

Well, this year we’ve outdone ourselves and come up with some great possibilities that you’ll be seeing soon. In fact, you may have already noticed a Top 3 article last week giving you a clue about how we’re going to be adding to our communication strategy. We have put in many hours, and our constant motivation was trying to make things better, easier, and faster for you!

Finally, not only have we expanded our Sunday Bible study offerings, our Thursday noon Bible study will begin on September 12 and Hope Sessions start on September 17. We look forward to seeing you at these great opportunities for fellowship and learning about God’s Word.

As you can see, ministry is picking up steam, and things are beginning to speed up around here, but I assure you it was not a sleepy summer. Your Pastoral and Ministry Staff are dedicated to providing you with the best possible version of St. Peter’s, and we work tirelessly to make sure it happens. We had a lot of fun this summer planning for this next part of our church’s great history, and we very much hope you enjoy it!

Please stay tuned in to your St. Peter’s News and Notes email, our Facebook page and your Realm account in order to stay up to date on all the things going on here at your church.

Peace be with you!

News & Notes

By Pastor Adam McDowell February 18, 2025
St. Peter’s, God bless your Tuesday and all that you do. I have received a Divine Call from Faith Lutheran Church, Grand Blanc, Michigan. They are calling me as Senior Pastor working with their ministry team. For clarity, I was not looking for a new position nor actively putting my name out on Call lists. It is my position to listen to these inquiries to understand the will of the Spirit. As Lyndi and I deliberate this Call, we ask for your prayers. Please, pray for guidance, wisdom, and that the Lord would clearly make known His will. Continue to keep our church in your prayers especially for her continued ministry, the filling of our Senior Pastor vacancy, and the work of our Call Team. Please, also pray for Faith Lutheran Church, Grand Blanc, and her ministry, as we are called to pray for the entire ministry of God (Ephesians 6:18). Lyndi and I, along with our children, will pray for discernment with God’s grace and for the two ministries as well. May the Lord give guidance to us all, Pastor McDowell
